Hi,

In Netra EVM 1.5V is used to enable TPS51200 DDR3 VTT supply as per the power sequence requirement of Netra. Could some body please tell me why additional transistor circuitry is used to ENABLE the TPS51200 device? Is there any specific reason behind it? Instead can it simply be done by providing the Power Good output of 1.5V to ENABLE the DDR VTT regulator ?

Where is the additional transistor circuitry in Netra EVM 1.5V? Do you have a schematic?

Hi Nancy, Thanks for replying. Could you please refer to Page53 of Netra's EVM schematics, in this page TPS51200 ENABLE is generated using additonal transistor circuitry. Regards, Khader Shareef

Hi Khader,

The additional transistor circuitry is necessary in the schematic. The specific reason behind it is that the designer would like to ensure both EVM_1V5 and EVM_3V3 are abailable before enabling TPS51200. EVM_1V5 is for VLDOIN and REFIN. EVM_3V3 is for the supply voltage of TPS51200. You could not simply use 1.5V PGOOD to enable DDR VTT. You also need to make sure EVM_3V3 is ready.
