BQ25892: BQ25892 VBAT(GD) comparator

Part Number: BQ25892
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25890

Tool/software:

Dear TI design support service,

I need some help about VBAT_GD specification at BQ25890/25892.

At point 8.5 of BQ25890/92 datasheet, we can see that Battery Good Comparator Rising Thershold is 3.55V (typical value) and 3.7V as maximum value.

Also, at 9.1 Functional Block Diagram, we can see VBAT_GD comparator:

However, there is no additional explanation about this condition on datasheet.

The questions regarding with this supervision are:

1) What happens if battery voltage is below VBAT(GD) comparator rising thershold?

2) If we connect a battery below this limit, with no VBUS present, the battery is connected to the system (BATFET turns ON)?

3) Please, confirm there is no internal register for reporting this condition.

4) What actions takes place when VBAT(GD) comparator is below rising thershold with input source plugged in and without input source?

Thank you very much in advance,
