BQ769142 Can an unused pin be set as an external pin?

Similar to the ADBMS1818 product design, is the pin configuration compatible with this?

Hello Rhea,

Table 16-3. Terminating Unused Pins in the BQ769142 Datasheet talks about what to do with unused pins. Can you clarify what you mean by an external pin?

Hi Alexis,

The customer is currently sampling 12 strings, if the customer wants to use 10 strings of sampling, can the outside be left empty, or must be connected to the plug-in side short-circuit?

Hello Rhea,

As mentioned in the table above, shorting unused VC pins directly to an adjacent VC pin is fine. This Connecting Battery Cells to the BQ769x2 FAQ may also be a useful reference.
