Hi Caroline,
I was able to get it to converge using a PWL voltage source and adding some series resistance with the ideal voltage source. Sometimes having the voltage source connected directly to the nodes of the model cause convergence issues since the voltage source often has discontinuities in its waveform.

Thank you for your help.
Is there a reason why the current through the load is negative?
Hi Caroline,
The load current for negative LDOs goes in the reverse direction. Is that what you are seeing based on the node you probed for the load current?

Nick
Hi, yes. I just added a trace of I(Rload), which I believe it is the current through the load.
Hi Caroline,
That is to be expected then. You can see this by looking at the relative polarity from input to output - the output is at a higher voltage than the input, and the "ground" side of the load is at a higher voltage than the output, so the current loop is backwards relative to a regular positive LDO.

Nick
