In one of the parts where there are multiple strings in parallel (ex. TLC59116).

Can one series string be connected to two or more channels in parallel to allow for higher current? (ex. >120mA on TLC59116)

Hello,

Yes, the TLC59116 (and other constant-current TLC59 series LED Drivers) can have their outputs connected together to generate higher currents. As always, be mindful of the thermal dissipation with the device.
