Hi team,

How do TPS7A21 support 50mV step in output voltage since the feedback loop is internally?

If customer want to adjust the output voltage from 2.8V to 3.3V with 50mV step, such as 2.85V 2.9V, 2.95V, how do we support that with TPS7A21?

Do we have any other LDO can satisfy below requirements?

2.8V-5.5V adjustable output voltage with maximum 500mA current, X2SON or DSBGA package.

    Is the customer looking to dynamically change the output voltage in 50mV steps or are they looking to switch between 2.8V and 3.3V?

    If they would like to use the same LDO to produce different output voltages, they would need to use an adjustable output device like TLV758P because as you mentioned TPS7A21 feedback loop is internal making it a fixed output device.

    We do not have any 500mA adjustable output devices in X2SON or DSBGA package so TLV758P in the 2x2 WSON package would be the next best option.

    Is the customer looking to dynamically change the output voltage in 50mV steps or are they looking to switch between 2.8V and 3.3V?

    Customer need to test to find the most suitable output voltage in their application. So they may need fixed 2.85V output or fixed 2.9V output, the range is from 2.8V to 3.3V which means it can also be 3.0V,3.05V.

    Could TPS7A21 do that?

    Also, I still don't understand what is 50mV step since it have a fixed output voltage.

    This means it is possible for TPS7A21 to output fixed voltages in 50mV steps.
