BQ34110: Can this device used in normal battery application?

In datasheet, this device is suggested in rarely discharge battery application.

But may I know can this device be used in normal CHG/DSG battery application?

Any side effect or concern?

    Hello Paul,

    We would not recommend using the gauge in a normal application, this gauge should be used in rarely discharge applications. I can help you find a proper gauge for your application. How many batteries in series is in your application?

    Yes, I can suggest suitable GG to customer.

    Hello Paul,

    This gauge contains a different version of the impedance track algorithm that is not a fully encompassing algorithm that is used in the BQ40z50 or BQ27z746. This special version of the impedance track algorithm is designed specifically for rarely discharged applications.
