Hi JH,
Thanks for reaching out!
In short if you need power passthrough the 37-57V or dual PD, it is recommended to use TPS2372. If you need a downstream DC/DC circuit using low voltage input or no startup DC/DC controller, or primary side adapter + PoE, it is recommended to use TPS2373.
TPS2372:
- AUTCLS: Autoclass function. It can allow PSE reallocate the power after turning on a short time. This is not common to be used.
TPS2373:
- VC_IN & VC_OUT: advanced startup pins. Provide a ~15V start up voltage to drive a low voltage input PWM controller, which cannot directly get the start up input from 57V PoE DC bus; VC_IN needs to be tied with a resistor divider when not used.
-APD: adapter priority pin. When you have a 24 - 57V DC adapter, and you want the dual power sources of PoE & DC adapter you can use this pin. This pin will make DC adapter priority higher than PoE.
Best regards,
Diang
