Hi,

I am analyzing the possibility of detecting the Short to Battery and Open Load condition at TPS1211-Q1 output in a power distribution application.

Does TPS1211-Q1 support Short to Battery and Open Load detection ?

If yes is there any additional external circuit required to detect these faults in both ON and OFF state?

Is there any Application Note available, to understand how the Short to Battery and Open Load detection is done in TPS1211-Q

Hello,

This device does not support these features. We do have short circuit and over current protection as well as protections for reverse current and reverse battery. I will check with colleagues to see what device may be a better fit here.
