Does the configuration of this component have to be done through the BQSTUDIO software?

Is it possible to configure the component using commands via SMBUS and have them saved in memory forever?

Is the configuration saved in the component's memory even when there is no power supplied to the component (from the charger and batteries)?

Please explain

    Hello Avi,

    The configuration does not have be done through BQStudio, you can use a MCU to write to the gauge. However, to program the ChemID, you will need the Ev2400 and BqStudio.

    Data Memory parameters should be saved when the device has no power for the bq40z80.
