Hi,

I'm currently trying to read the DEVICE TYPE via I2C.
Is the following communication format okay?

See Figure 7-1 on page 37 of the data sheet.

In this case, the communication procedure is as follows:

ADD[6:0] 0xaa CMD [7:0] 0x00 ADD[6:0] 0xab DEVICE_TYPE 0x41 or 0x05

Hello,

To read DEVICE_TYPE, you would write this to the gauge:

0xAA, 0x00, 0x01, 0x00

Then you would read from register 0x00.

Thank you for your reply.
My question is, the read value seems to be 0x01, is this okay?
Also, the logic analyzer shows 55, but when sending it says oxaa. Why is that?
Also, are there any other good addresses to use to check the IC status?

Also, regarding the communication format, is it okay to use 0xAA (device address) + 0x00 (command) + 0x01 (CNTL DATA lower address) + 0x00 (CNTL DATA upper address)?
