BQ34Z100-R2: Chem ID programming and data memory registers

Hi,

I'm reading through the technical reference manual and some other related application notes to understand the learning cycle process.

Question:

1. Is there a document that explains which data memory registers are affected when programming the Chem ID? I want to understand which data memory registers I still need to configure after programming the Chem ID and which ones I don't.

2. Is there a source that explains the parameters that need to be correctly set to successfully perform the learning cycle? I found a YouTube video (link) that briefly covers this information, but I wasn't sure if it applies to the specific chip I'm using, the bq34z100-R2.

1. The registers that are affected are Qmax and Ra tables.

Hi Adrian,

Here's another follow up question.

Our system utilizes a 15s-cell battery pack. According to the Achieving The Successful Learning Cycle, the 'Design Voltage = (number of series cells) x average cell voltage'.

However, in the technical reference manual the max allowed Design Voltage value is defined to be 5000mV and there's no way I can set it to '54000mV = 15 (number of cells) x 3600mV (average cell voltage)'.

What would be the correct way to set this register?
