BQ25792: Not enabling the charging, when 12V adapter (NOT A USB POWER SOURCE) is used to power BQ25792

Part Number: BQ25792

Tool/software:

I have designed a custom BMS circuit using BQ25792 (the Schematic is attached as a PDF) to charge 3S Li-ion Battery Pack, and the Input Power Source connected to the BMS(through VAC1) is a 12V Adapter(NOT A USB).

Even though the BMS can work with 3.6-V to 24-V inputs, the circuit does not charge the battery when the 12V adapter is connected. When the Adapter is connected, ADC readings show that only the Battery is discharging current into the system, and even though the VAC1 voltage detects the 12V plugs in (And lets approximately 20mA - 30mA be entered), BMS blocks the current usage to charge the battery and power the system with 12V.

I also noticed when the BMS is powered with 5V and then gradually increased the power to 12V, it can power and charge the battery as proposed in the datasheets.

Can you please help me to resolve this issue?

Thank you.
