UCC5350-Q1: UCC5350-Q1 driver

Part Number: UCC5350-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello Ti team,

I have looked TI application note on high side driving techniques ,

  • Hi Karthik,

You can expect the VEE2 of the driver to be able to handle much more than 300V.

The maximum that it can handle is in the kV range.

    Hope this addresses your concern!

    Regards,

    Hiroki

  • Hello Hiroki Honda,

    Thanks for your reply,

Is it specified in the datasheet??

can you please little detail it how it can handle KV range as i have to convey to internal team

  • Hi Karthik,

UCC5350-Q1 is an isolated gate driver. The gate driver an withstand 990VDC in D package and 2121VDC in DWV package from primary side ground to secondary side ground (GND1 to VEE2). The isolation specs are located in table 6.6 Insulation Specifications for D Package and table 6.7 Insulation Specifications for DWV Package.

Either package would be able to withstand 300V on VEE2 with respect to primary side ground GND1.

    Best regards,

    Andy Robles

  • Ok Thanks Andy Robles,

i am doing stability simulation for above converter in PSICE,but only transient model is available for  UCC5350-Q1 in the Ti site. But to perform stability simulation we need Average model know. Can you please check and share me the average spice model of UCC5350-Q1 .

  • Hi Karthik,

All of our available PSpice models are on the TI.com product page. In this case we only have the UCC5350-Q1 transient PSpice model available.

    Thanks,

    Vivian
