BQ25720: 34h register write question

Part Number: BQ25720

Tool/software:

To avoid PROCHOT triggered.

TI AE suggest

If the customer don’t like PROCHOT triggered, they can unmask this event, set PP_INOM=0. Register 34, bit 4.

There is another fault triggered, STAT_VDPM bit, need to write STAT_VDPM=0, register 0x21, bit 7.

But when our customer write 432D to Register34, when read it, it appears 433D, can't change PP_INOM=0, Register 34,bit4.

Does this approach bring any risks?
