BQ34Z100-R2: Calculation of SOH during fluctuation over months and years.

Part Number: BQ34Z100-R2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34110, BQ34Z100

Tool/software:

Hi, I have a question. I am preparing a two lead-acid battery pack (12V, 26Ah) in series for use with the BQ34Z100-R2. I understand that the gauge uses impedance and cycles to calculate SOH, but my pack will serve as a backup battery for a system that may operate for months or even years without utilizing the batteries. Considering that the batteries will stay in fluctuation, will the SOH measurements be accurate and reliable? Will the gauge provide incorrect values because the batteries will remain in fluctuation for a long time without a single cycle?

Thanks!
