LM7480-Q1: Parameters of peripheral components when output power is 60W with 200V unsuppressed load dump protection circuit

Hi team,

The datasheet covers 200-V Unsuppressed Load Dump Protection Application with output power of 25W. In customer's use case, output power is 60W(24V2.5A). How should my customer choose the parameters of peripheral components such as input capacitors and output capacitors and so on? The selection of MOSFETs is stated on the datasheet, so no need to confirm.

Hi Shunsuke,

Only thing to be taken care of is the FETs as power dissipation will be high during output clamp. Capacitors are related to voltage ratings only and not power ratings.
