TPS543C20A: MODE pin set in stand-alone mode

Hi. For some reason in my design the stand-alone regulator not starting up if MODE pin remains open. Using 23.7kOhm for MODE is OK. According to the datasheet keeping MODE pin floating is valid option. What I am missing ?

    23.7k Setting is only required to send the clock to a secondary device. Open is the default option for a standalone device.

    What setting do you have for RT pin? Are you connected to external sync? Can you share schematic
