LM2577: Searching for a buck boost converter instead of the boost converter

Part Number: LM2577
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61170

Tool/software:

Hello everyone,
I am actually looking for a buck boost converter to generate an output voltage of approx. 2 to 24V from a variable input voltage of 7 to 7.6V. I came across the LM2577 but this is a boost converter. The datasheet states that the output is calculated as follows: V_out = 1.23V * (1 + R1/R2). However, I think that the maximum voltage from the input is the lower minimum for V_Out. I would prefer to be able to set it simply with a potentiometer and use as few external components as possible. Which IC would be suitable for this? Could you please give me a recommendation?
