BQ40Z50-R2: Decrease in SOH due to noise

Part Number: BQ40Z50-R2

Tool/software:

Hello everyone.

While discharging a battery pack (4 cells in series) with a 30Ω resistor (from fully charged to 12V)
A pulse of 8KV peak and 150ns width was applied to the + terminal of the battery pack at 500msec intervals until the end of discharge.

The + terminal of the battery pack contains a capacitor and a surge killer, so no breakdowns occurred, but the following phenomena were observed.
SOH: Initial value 98% ⇒ Decreased to 94
Ra increased by about 2 times (at about 50% DOD)

Question 1
What is the mechanism behind the decrease in SOH and increase in Ra?

Question 2
If we repeat charging and discharging with noise applied, does the SOH continue to decrease?

Question 3
Is there any way to avoid this phenomenon? (Only by changing the setting conditions)

best regards.
