TPS61196: Reference loop considerations

I am trying to replicate the values in found in the TPS61196EVM-600 evaluation board / reference design. Specifically values for "8.2.2.6 Loop Considerations".

Here is what I have as input based on values in the datasheet:

VOut = 60V

D = .833

COut = .0001

IOut = .787

This gives the following values provided datasheet equations 12,13,14,15

Fp = 41.752

Fzrhp = 4956.61

R8 = 61874.17

As I understand, this should be the maximum value for R8. However, the value chosen for TPS61196EVM-600 is 100k.

Please advise

May I kindly know where is your spec come from? Especially the D, a test value or calculated value.

The spec is pulled from the TPS61196EVM-600 User's Guide. While it is not entirely clear from the TPS61196 datasheet what these values should be, I used my best judgement here.

According the the User guide, the evaluation board has a maximum VOut of 60V (OVP voltage is set to 60V) and VIn(min) is 10V. IOut is also clearly stated to be .787A in the user guide. The Schematic and BOM also show that C2 (output side capacitor) is 100uF (.0001F).

Equation (10) in the TPS61196 datasheet defines DMax as (VOUT(MAX) – VIN(MIN) / VOUT(MAX)). In this case, (60 - 10)/60 = 8.333.

This information was provided in my original question but hopefully this makes it more clear.
