BQ24780S: Regarding Enable Control Using ACDET

Part Number: BQ24780S

Tool/software:

Hello,

Please provide information about Enable control using ACDET.

When the register is set and the ACDET terminal is transitioned from Low to High, will all registers revert to their default states while the Vcc of the same IC remains supplied?

Additionally, if there are registers that maintain their states and others that do not, please provide details on this.

Lastly, could you let me know the approximate time it takes for charging to stop after ACDET is negated (set to Low)? Is it on the order of a few hundred microseconds?

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,

  • Hello T.Kuni,

Charge current should be the only register that resets.

Lastly, could you let me know the approximate time it takes for charging to stop after ACDET is negated (set to Low)? Is it on the order of a few hundred microseconds?

I checked on the BQ24780s EVM, and with a charge current of around 1A. It was around 50-75us for the device to stop charging.

    Best Regards,

    Christian.
