Tool/software:

1. Using BQ25611, the power supply of 12V adapter is connected to VBUS pin, and the power supply is negatively connected to GND; D+, D- pins are directly suspended, so that the chip can be identified and detected?
2. If 12 adapter power supply is used to access VBUS pin, must pin D+, D- be connected? What is the maximum input current?

Hello,

Floating the D+/D- lines will identify the input current limit as 500 mA through unknown adapter. This input current limit can be updated in the registers after detection. The maximum input current limit is 3.2A. Connecting the D+/D- lines can allow other adapters to be connected and automatic updating of the input current limit depending on the adapter.

D+, D- float, after power-on, can I use I2C to adjust the input current? Turn it up or turn it down？

As I said before, floating D+/D- identifies unknown adapter and I2C can adjust the input current limit after.

If I am a 12V power adapter input, there is no D+, D-, how does this chip recognize 12V power? In this case, can the input current be adjusted directly via I2C?

Again, if you float the D+/D- line the charger will identify an unknown adapter and I2C can adjust the input current limit after. As long as the input voltage is within the operating range it should be ok.
