TPS25751: USBCPD Application Customization Tool - JSON Output for the PMP41062 project

Part Number: TPS25751
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25756E, PMP41062, , BQ25756

Tool/software:

Hello, I'm developing an application using the TPS25751 and BQ25756E that is almost identical to the PMP41062 reference design.

Is the USBCPD App Customization Tool output (JSON) available for the PMP41062 reference design?  I'd like to use it for reference and as a starting point.

Thanks,

Josh

  • Hi Josh,

    Thank you for reaching out!

The USBCPD App Customization Tool can generate a json based on your configuration settings. We do not have the PMP41062 json available.

Note that the BQ25756 is supported but we do not currently have integrated I2C control for the BQ25756E implemented in the GUI Tool. We are working on adding support for this feature in the near future.

Please let me know if you have additional questions/concerns.

    Best Regards,

    Aya Khedr

  • Oh I see. I've been assuming the BQ25756E was a drop in replacement for the BQ25756.  Do you know what the timeline/schedule is for implementing the BQ25756E in the GUI tool?

I'm trying to figure out if I should configure BQ25756E via my external microcontroller or switch to the BQ25756 in the meantime.

  • Hi Joshua,

There is a planned release to include the BQ25756E option in the GUI Tool. I am still working with my team on a timeline.

In the meantime, I would suggest using the BQ25756 to evaluate the integrated I2C control which will be almost identical to the BQ25756E.

Please let me know if you have additional questions/concerns.

    Best Regards,
