TPS25762DQ1EVM: basic configuration to get 5V on port A

Part Number: TPS25762DQ1EVM

Tool/software:

hi, I'm working with TPS25762D evaluation module, GUI: 2.1.0, FW: F411_04_01_0005. I did program EEPROM with full flash image and reset the IC. Unfortunately the internal DCDC for port A is always off, do I have to configure something more in the eval board?

  • Hi Tomasz,

Thanks for reaching out. Here are a few questions:

    1. Did you do the same preparation as the GUI "hardware setup" shows before clicking the "quick start"?

    2. What's the load you are using for testing the Vout?

    3. Could you send me the Json file and the full flash to me for a detailed check?

    BR,

    Ke Wang

  • I see now if no load connected there's no output voltage...

    1. I do as follow:

    • open 257xxx Q1 GUI
    • hardware setup, following instructions EEPROM flash tab
    • choose device TPS25762D-Q1
    • start configuration
    • max power -> 60W
    • options -> choose serial port, click on the icon to connect
    • download FW
    • keys from FW F411_04_01_0005, base FW F411_04_01_0005
    • save low region and full flash image
    • EEPROM flash -> full flash image -> flash EEPROM
    • progress: flash complete, power cycle or reset device
    • turn off power, remove jumper SEL8, disconnect USB cable
    • turn on power, connect USB cable, connect to board, device communication tab
    • choose device TPS25762D-Q1, read all

    2. no load connected to PORT A
