TPS61160EVM-243: USB Bridge not attached

Part Number: TPS61160EVM-243
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61160

Tool/software:

I'm trying to get the auto-dimming feature for the TPS61160 EVM board to work with the TPS6116x Control Software. For my set-up, my Windows PC is connected to the USB Interface Adapter, which is connected to the TPS61160 EVM board.

I downloaded the Control Software GUI from this link: www.ti.com/.../TPS61161EVM-243. It is currently running V2.0.0.0.

However, the GUI is stating that my USB Bridge is not attached. When I click the "Write" button for FB Voltage Register, the GUI states "IC Disabled, Change CTRL Pin Mode to Enable Writing to Device." When I click the CTRL Mode, the button is not able to toggle between the two modes, and instead returns "Error Communicating with USB Device."

I am facing the same problems Jonathan faced in this forum (https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management-group/power-management/f/power-management-forum/487309/tps61170-evm-issues), however, my problem couldn't be resolved by following the recommended steps.
