LMG3100R044: Dimension drawing of the footprint VQFN-FCRLF (VBE package 15 pins)

Part Number: LMG3100R044
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMG2100R044, LMG3100R017

Tool/software:

Dear TI-team,

To use the TI part LMG3100R044 into our CAD system, we do need the dimensions of the Footprint into our system.

I did check the Ultra Librarian database, but I could not find the dimension drawing.

Is it possible to send the dimensions drawing of the footprint of the LMG3100R044 as is VQFN-FCRLF  (VBE package 15pins)

The Dimension drawing as we did see into the datasheet (SNOSDF9B-JULY2023-revised MARCH2024) of the TI part LMG2100R044 page RAR0017B.

Best regards,

Stephan

  • Hello Stephan,

I am checking with our packaging team now about this part drawing.
In the meantime, will stp. files work for your project? I can attach those now:

    LMG3100R017 Step.stp
    LMG3100R044 Step.stp

    Thanks,
    Zach S

  • Hello Zachary,

Sorry to say, but the step files are not enough to our CAD design team.

The right way to get the Footprint from our CAD design team is by use of the dimensions drawings of the Package Outline, dimension drawing Board Layout footprint and dimension drawing Footprint stencil design. As we could find into the Datasheet LMG2100R044.

I did check the Ultra Librarian database, but I could not find the dimension drawings.

    best regards,

    Stephan.

  • Hi Zachary,

we are also facing same issue
However, is there any Update on this

  • Hello,

I was able to get the mechanical drawing for LMG3100R017, it is identical to R044 except for the exposed GaN die on top. The R044 device will have a smaller GaN die size due to larger Rdson.
Please try and leverage this drawing for now, again besides from exposed GaN die everything else is identical.

I am still working with packaging team to get these updated in datasheet.

    Thanks,
    Zach

  • Hello Zachary,

Many thanks for the in between solution with the mechanical drawing for LMG3100R017.

I will send this info to to our CAD design team.

Can you give me a notice when the packaging team did get these updated in datasheet.

    Best regards,

    Stephan

  • No problem,

Our systems team in charge of maintaining the LMG3100 R017 and R044 datasheets has been notified of this issue, I will update in this thread when the drawings are available

    Thanks,
    Zach S
