LP5030: LP503x Current consumption

Hello,

How should I calculate LP5030 current consumption? There is normal normal mod supply current and output stage Imax current. I will use 30 laser diodes with driver. And laser diodes operating with 25mA.

30x25=750mA

30x6.5=195mA

Which current value is correct for me? Or should I sum the two values?

    Hi Murat,

    If you only mean the IC power consumption, I think you can refer the normal operation current 6.5mA. But please note this current is under the condition of per channel 10mA. So, if you set the 25mA per channel, it will be slightly larger.

    The power consumption will contain 2 parts:

    1. 6.5mA is the total power consumption for IC itself.

    2. 30ch*25mA is the total power consumption for the output.
