LP876242-Q1: LP876242-Q1:

Part Number: LP876242-Q1

Regarding the Output Voltage range

As per the datasheet Page 1: The maximum output Voltage Range is from 0.9V to 1.9V

As per Table 7-1 Output Voltage Selection for Buck regulators: We can set a minimum of 0.3V (20mV range) to a maximum 3.3V (20mV range).

Kindly confirm the minimum & maximum output voltage range for the IC LP876242-Q1.

Also, will the IC by default support SPI mode or I2C mode. Are there different part numbers of the IC for SPI/I2C mode support

Thanks & Regards

  • Hello Vivek,

I see the dilemma, thank you for bringing attention to this, please let me confirm which is the correct settings to correspond to the output.

Also, will the IC by default support SPI mode or I2C mode. Are there different part numbers of the IC for SPI/I2C mode support

You are correct in that there are different, appending alphanumeric characters (Part Number) that corresponds for SPI/I2C mode support. LP876242 is the generic part number.

  • Hello Vivek,

So both are correct, that is the mapping for the registers, but the device is only rated/validated for 0.9V to 1.9V as per the datasheet. You can set this higher, but it is not guaranteed for that

As for supporting SPI mode, the part number orderable off of TI.com

Has SPI enabled by default with software enabled CRC for extra checking of communications, as for extra part numbers supporting different communication modes, there are no plans at the moment, just SPI.
