TLVH431A: Minimum cathode current required when VKA > Vref or VKA=VKAmax

Part Number: TLVH431A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLVH431

Tool/software:

Hello Team,

we were using TLVH431A for our new development. what will be the minimum cathode current when the Vka>Vref or Vka=Vkamax ?

because as per below image in datasheet it is mention only for the case of Vka=Vref what will be the minimum cathode current more than Vref voltage for regulation of TLVH431 ?

because most of the tests are done with the 10mA cathode current and Vka=Vref. we are interested in the minimum current required for regulation when Vka>Vref.

Awaiting your reply !

  • Hi Jayjit,

    Thanks for your question!

The minimum current required for regulation when Vka > Vref stays the same as I_K(min) shown above.

However, the circuit will need to be adjusted such as the following:

It is still recommended to have Ika > 100uA to ensure that the device turns on properly.

    I hope this helps!

    Best Regards,
