Would TI recommend using ceramic capacitors for both or either the input or output capacitors? They are significantly smaller than tantalum or electrolytics.

Hi Mark,
If you use ceramic capacitors then you'll need to add a series resistor with them to emulate the ESR of aluminum electrolytic capacitors. I would use 0.5 ohms or higher but not greater than several ohms.
