BQ25730: Digitization of CELL_BATPREST

Hello.

We are developing a charger based on the BQ25730 but we are wondering if it would be possible to use a digipot to control the reference voltage of VDDA for CELL_BATPREST and in this way select the number of cells by software (at the moment it is by jumper). If it is possible to use a digipot, could you please fix one that fits the application?

    Hi, Flaco,

    The cell-batpresz pin is only detected during startup. It is not constantly monitored during operation. You could use a digipot to replace the resistor. You can also use a voltage reference on this pin to set the battery cell number.
