BQ76942: LD Charger Detect pin

Hello,

We wanted to know if it is possible to connect a communication pin on the LD pin of the BQ76942, without any trouble on the communication.

So that when inserted into the charger, and the battery can wake up without using a mechanical switch on the TS2 pin.

    Can you give more specifics on why you would like to connect a communication pin on the LD pin?

    Our part can also wake if a voltage is applied at the LD pin above VWAKEONLD (such as when a charger is attached in series FET config), the device will exit SHUTDOWN mode. This is talked about briefly in Section 7.5 SHUTDOWN Mode of the BQ76942 Technical Reference Manual. 

    This previous post may also be informative: LD pin high voltage last time threshold. Would that be useful for what you’re looking for instead of relying on a switch on the TS2 pin?
