Tool/software:

We are calibrating bq27220 gauge IC.
I am experiencing an issue where Design Capacity and Full Charge Capacity values are updating in registers 0x929D and 0x929F, but not reflecting in registers 0x3C and 0x12.
Could you provide guidance on the procedure needed to ensure these updates are accurately reflected in the corresponding registers?

Are there any additional commands or synchronization steps required to achieve this?

I'm Not using bqStudio, instead I'm following the steps mentioned in the programming manual for BQ27220.

Reason why I'm not using bqStdudio because creating a golden image writes to the OTP memory, making it unchangeable and this prevents recalibration and flashing a new image if the battery changes. correct me if I'm wrong

Hello,

This is not correct. You can change the golden image using bqStudio. Programming a golden image onto the gauge does not mean that you cannot change the configuration. Additionally, you must use BQStudio to obtain a golden image flash stream file.

Then could you please help me to understand what parameters I need to enter in the bqStudio suppose I’m using 210mah lipo.

I need proper steps which I should follow before generating golden image

Hello,

We have several documents on getting started with the gauge and how to configure the gauge. Some you can refer to are the EVM user's guide and the calibration guide.

Additionally we have several previous E2Es that go over the getting started process. I recommend searching through the previous E2E threads as well.
