BQ40Z50: Parameters affecting charge and discharge time variation

HI,

I am having 2s and 3s battery packs with BQ40z50 R3, fuel gauges. when i observe the charge time on a consecutive iterations there is a slight dip in time from 5 to 95%.

what would be the possible reasons for this change in charge time, and which parameters might be the reasons for this?

    Hi Abhijith,

    We would need the bqStudio log file of each situation, however if this is the very first cycle the cell is ran in, the gauge might be recalculating its values for the specific cell attached. If this is so, the second cycle would be a better representation of the charging time.
