In one of our products, we are using the following components manufactured by your company:

LM5163-Q1

For a new project our customer has requested us to register this product in the IMDS system. To do this, we need all the components to be registered in the IMDS as well. Could you, please, provide me a contact person to whom I could send the request from the IMDS system?

Dear David,

Thank you for your response. The report that you have attached is fine and I am sure the component is perfectly compliant with the regulations. However, in this case, I need it to be registered in the IMDS. Even-though the ultimate purpose of the registration is the same - to demonstrate the compliance, the way of providing evidences differs - I have skimmed through the report and got an impression that it shows that there ARE NO prohibited substances in the material, but IMDS approaches the same issue from the opposite side - it expects the suppliers and manufacturers to show what IS present inside the material. Therefore, to comply with our customer requirements I would still need your component to be registered in the IMDS, so that I could attach it to my MDS. Hope you could help me with that.
