BQ25300: Vset to Vbatt charging discrepancy

Part Number: BQ25300

Tool/software:

Hi all,

I am currently using the BQ25300RTER chip to charge a 1S6P lithium ion battery pack, with the lithium ion cells being INR18650-30Q. Below is a screenshot of the schematic of how this part is being used.

With a 4.5V input into this chip, the charge of our batteries will only go up to at most ~4.04V before the LED status light on the REGN and STAT pin turns off, despite our Vset resistor being set at 10kohms for a max charge of 4.2V.

Other measurements taken during this charge period before reaching this peak voltage range (LED status light is SOLID):

VBUS: 4.43V

TS: 2.107V

PMID: 4.43V

SW: 4.04V

BTST: 7.56V

BATT: 4.04V

Thanks,

Yu
