Hi experts,

Would you have any reason/insight about why LM5180EVM has significantly larger Iq than the data on device datasheet?

from EVM user guide-->around 1mA

from datasheet of LM5181 -->100's uA

Tsuyoshi.

-The current in the EVM document is the no load current of the whole system DC/DC Flyback converter. This includes not just the quiescent current of the device but the leakage current coming from leakage inductance of the XFMR and Rdon of MOSFET.

-The current in the DS is the quiescent current of the device itself.
