TPSM63610: Measuring the phase margin of CC circuits

Part Number: TPSM63610

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am considering a CC circuit using TPSM63610.
The reference material is below.
Regarding measuring the phase margin, the diagram below in this material shows that the CV circuit has a resistance of 49.9 Ω, so it is sufficient to measure at both ends of this resistance.
However, no such resistor is used in the CC circuit.
How can I measure the phase margin of a CC circuit?

Best regards,

How to Implement a Simple Constant Current Regulation Scheme to a PCM Based Buck

  • Hi,

In the case of an application where phase margin cannot be measured through a bode plot, we recommend utilizing a load transient test to test your system's stability. Please see this application note that relates load transient responses to stability. The application note that you shared as well has some example waveforms of load transient.

    Thank you,
