LMR51430: situations the frequency foldback function works

Hi,

LMR51430 has the frequency foldback function, and it will work when tON_MIN or tOFF_MIN is triggered.

Are there any other considerable situations that could be factors of occurring frequency foldback? (except tON_MIN or tOFF_MIN violation)

    Hi Go,

    Yes, the Ton_min and Toff_min limits will determine the frequency foldback points. 

    In the PFM device, the light load operation scheme will also foldback frequency. Please see section 8.4.4 of the datasheet for more details on this.
