BQ34Z100: Single cell stand-alone LiFePO4 fuel gauge

Part Number: BQ34Z100

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am looking for a simple fuel gauge which can indicate the capacity of a cell with 4 LEDs. The fuel gauge must be stand-alone and not require any pre-programming by the user. The cell used is Narada FE100A 3.2V 100Ah LiFePO4 Battery ( www.evlithium.com/.../narada-fe100a-100ah-lifepo4-battery.html ). There is just one cell in the battery pack (1s1p). Maximum charge and discharge current will be 2 A.

Does BQ34Z100 satisfy the above requirements? It has alot of I2C functions so I feel like it will not work without an MCU or pre-programming.

What would you suggest I use?

Thanks and best regards,

Samo Smodiš
