I would like to know about how to restrict power supply to non-PD device?

To PD device, we can configure PDOs and eliminate power supply to it.

how about non-PD device?

I would like you to tell how we configure registers/external circuit.

Hello,

For a non-PD device the power is advertised through the Rp termination.

In the advanced configuration of the GUI you can select in the Port Control Register.

I think "TypeC Current" register determine Rp value (=capable load current).

If we set "TypeC Current" register to "Reserved", the device will not source to non-PD device?

I do not believe that the 'reserved' is a valid setting. I will double confirm. Have you tested with the EVM?

Hello,

I quickly tested on my side and with the 'reserved' selected the PD would not establish a default (5V) contract with either a PD or non-PD capable sink. I am still working to confirm with the larger team.

Hello,

To close this item:

The reserved setting is not valid and should not be used.
The Type-C specification requires the supply of VBUS when a source detects the presence of an attached device (Sink) port.
