TPS7A89: TPS7A89

Part Number: TPS7A89

Tool/software:

I am Furkan Avar from Turkish defense company ASELSAN INC. I work as a process design engineer. I’d like to ask you about the backward compatibility of the TPS7A89. We are currently assembling the printed circuit board with non-leaded solder (SAC). However, when there is a need for a rework of the component, we are executing the rework procedure with the leaded solder (SnPb). Is the TPS7A89 backward compatible? Do you think there will be an issue with the leaded rework procedure approach? I’d be glad to hear from you.

  • Hi Furkan,

I am sorry, but I didn't understand the question correctly.

Do you think there will be an issue with the leaded rework procedure approach?

Just making sure, you are using non leaded solder for assembly, and in case of rework, you are using leaded solder. And you want to know if there would be problem doing this. Am I correct?

    Is the TPS7A89 backward compatible?

In terms of what parameter are you asking if it is backward compatible?

    Regards,

    Bobby
