TPS92360: Battery Input and Inrush Current

Hello everyone,
I wanted to use the TPS92360 in an application where the power is supplied by a 3V6 battery, and power 8/10 LEDs.
OK, the chip does this job, but my question is: how much inrush current will be required from the battery and for how long?

Hi Davide,

We don't have test data of the inrush current. It will be depended on components like input and output capacitors, inductor and the board layout.

first of all, thanks ...
Maybe I'm getting confused, I see in the datasheet that the switching current of the mosfet is limited to 0.72A by the soft start circuit, this has nothing to do with the starting current that you will have with a load limited to 10mA!?
Right, what do you think?
My problem is that I can't ask for too much current from a 3V6 battery.

Hi Davide,

Yes, the current limit will be firstly limited to 0.72A to avoid too much inrush current, but I am not sure whether this limited current can meet your spec.
