Hi Team, 

Customer has some questions about LP5867 register, can you help to support below? Thanks!

  • What is the major difference between data refresh mode-2 & 3 configuration in register 0x02? Any specific use case for it? 
  • 2.2.4 Dev_config2 Register (Address = 3h) [Default = 0h], parameter field & description shows different group. Required clarification on which parameter is for which group.
  • Dot_Group_Sel (0x00Ch - 0x02Eh) register use case is not clear. What will it do once any dot group selected? How to command any dot group operations?
  • LOD_Clear (0x0A7) & LSD_Clear (0x0A8) registers, are these clearing specific indication in the CHIP? What will be impact of this on the LEDs? Please explain more to understand it.

    Hi Kailun,

    Please refer my comments below and let me know if there is any questions.

    1. Mode2 is for 8-bit PWM dimming + SYNC function, Mode3 is for 16-bit PWM dimming + SYNC function.

    2. Please refer below description in datasheet.

    3. Once any group is selected, customers can control all the outputs in one group, it can save command sending by MCU.

    4. For the detail protection and diagnostic, please find the detail description in chapter 8.3.7
