TLVM13610: Efficiency lower than expected

Part Number: TLVM13610

Tool/software:

Hello ,TI Team!

While testing a PCB, which uses a TLVM13610, the maximal efficiency was measured to be 90,5% at 5V out and at an output current of 2,5A. At 4A output current and 5V_out, the efficiency drops to 89,4%, which are quite far from the typical 93% from the Datasheet.

Due to using more variants of the schematic, 2 of the GND Pins of the IC were not connected. The switching frequency is around 613kHz. Below you can find the schematic of the circuit and the layout (above the IC are the output caps and below are the input caps, to the sides are the resistors and smaller caps from the circuit).

The circuit has also the output capacitance lower, than recommended in the Datasheet. Also PG is not connected to the VCC as in the Datasheet, but to the Vout. Could these points as well as unconnected pin 14 and 15 influence the efficiency of the regulator?

If not, what else could be the reason?

Thanks a lot in advance and cheers,

Vlad
