LM25148: The ability to drive 2 mosfets on H and L Gate

Hi Team,

I'm building a buck circuit that outputs up to 12A @ 5V/6.3V/7.6V for servo power.

I was wondering whether if LM25148's H and L Gate can drive multiple mosfets? I'm thinking about 2 fets for H and L gate for better heat dissipiation since I have limited copper area and airflow.

Hi,

This device is designed to drive a single high-side and low-side FET.

We recommend looking at section 11.1.4 of the datasheet to help with thermal design and layout.

In section 8.3.14 describing adaptive dead-time methodology it states "This technique ensures adequate dead-time for any size N-channel power MOSFET implementations, including parallel MOSFET configurations", do you mean the "parallel" part is false?

Hi,

I looked into this further and looks like you can have a parallel connection. The FETs in parallel would share current so it is important for the Rdson for both the FETs to be same.
