Negative Output Configuration for Review.

Hi E2E DS,

I would like to know if my configuration is correct when using the IC in negative output. I have SYNC signal to to AGND with 0 ohm resistor.

I also have SPSP signal to AGND with 261K resistor. A picture of the circuit is attached for review. I had to use two ICs so that VIN max was not violated.

Hi David,

261KOhm is a bit aggressive for SPSP. A 10-30KOhm resistor pulled down to device gnd or -15V rail should be ok.

Is it permissible to tie with zero-ohm resistor, the SYNC/MODE pin to VCC of the IC in both pos and neg configurations to use FPFM?

We want all possible combinations for our prototype pcb.

Hi David,

Yes, it's ok because we pull it up to VCC in the EVM.

MODE/SYNC can withstand full VIN voltage including 42V transient. You can also pull this one up to VIN.
