TPS55288-Q1: I2C connection is mandatory?

Part Number: TPS55288-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS55288

Tool/software:

I would like to use this converter for a stand-alone application, so I need to know if the I2C connection in mandatory or the HW configuration pins are enough to its correct usage.

If it is possible not to use the communication, is it correct to connect the pins to VDD via pull-up resistors or is there some more suitable connection?

  • Hi Riccardo,

For TPS55288-Q1 device, I2C communication is must to enable the output and program the internal registers.

If I2C is not needed in the system, it is recommended to select TPS552882-Q1 which is non-I2C version.

    BRs,

    Bryce
