UCC28063: UCC28063 Technical problem communication

Part Number: UCC28063

Tool/software:

Hi TI team,

The customer is using the chip UCC28063, currently in debugging encountered some problems, need to provide technical support, problem points:

1: I am on the 1800W power supply, the input AC voltage is 230VAC power supply PFC can only carry 750V at most, 0.5A load; And with 0.8A load, the PFC value is only 0.76, and the PFC voltage drops. Measure A, B two-phase MOS tube drive signal two phases are not opposite 180 degrees, there is no interleaving, this is what causes

2: PFC voltage slowly rises to 750V with load

  • Hello Ken,

Your description of the design target is incomplete. Is Vout supposed to be 750V?
Please provide the full input and output specifications for this PFC design.

Regarding this statement: ...MOS tube drive signal two phases are not opposite 180 degrees, there is no interleaving..., this symptom is typical of continuous over-current protection.
In other words, the OCP threshold at the CS input is continually hitting -200mV each switching cycle.
The two phases A & B always start up at 0-degree phase after an OCP turn-off, so if each cycle is at 0-degrees (no interleaving) then each cycle has triggered OCP.
Maybe your CS resistor value is too high.

Please use this calculator tool to provide suitable values for your design: https://dr-download.ti.com/design-tools-simulation/calculation-tool/MD-0ashiqdgby/01.00.00.00/sluc292.zip
